Dear Fred, Jo-Anne and Eagle Nest Lodge Staff,
On behalf of BASF Canada, I would like to personally thank you for another excellent job hosting BASF, our customers from Richardson International and their sons at your fantastic resort!
The expectations of our annual event are always set high and your lodge and staff never fail to deliver above and beyond the call of duty. This year (like every year) the fishing, meals, lodging, transportation, service and hospitality were once again “top-notch” and the BASF staff along with our Richardson International guests and their sons enjoyed every minute of it!
Thanks again for an excellent experience at Eagle Nest Resort!
Wishing you a safe and successful 2010 season!
Best regards,
Steve Manning
Hello Fred and Joanne,
Cathy and I wanted to write you a thank you letter. As you know we’d planned this trip for two years. I had watched TV shows about Canadian fishing and how good it was. Well, ya’lls fishing exceeded my expectations. It was fantastic. I liked the secludedness too! The staff and guides were terrific. I left a lot of stress to relax at your place and it was just what the doctor ordered.
I wanted to give a special thanks to Pat Bancroft, our guide. He showed us some of the natural beauties of your land. (Crow Duck Falls and many more) Shore lunch was great!
I’m enclosing a couple of pictures. My favorite is the one where I fished off of the rocks outside my cabin. It looks as if there’s no one else on the planet just me and the river.
Thanks again for our most memorable vacation.
See you again in the future
Doug & Cathy
I just wanted to let you know again what a great time we had at Eagle Nest. The staff went above and beyond to see that we were taken care of and I trust we weren’t too much of a problem I hope. The cake and wine on our anniversary was a very nice touch. One thing I did seem to have snuck out on was a six pack of Budweiser I ordered on Wed. night the 23rd. If you would reply with a price I will send it to you. keep me on the list for June and I will be in touch in Dec. Also if you could send me some info on your bear hunts. Thanks again Jeff Jones and family.
PS feel free to use me as a reference
Fred and Jo-Anne
We will be back for sure – It is a great place with great people and we really appreciate that. It is not hard to refer when a business has such a great standard and value system for their customers. I hope the summer goes well for you.

Dear Fred and Jo-Anne,
We arrived back in Missouri tired but happy to have experienced one of our best trips in 16 years. You were right about the bass being just right, as evidenced by all the M.A. smallmouth we “hung” on your big fish chart. Believe me, it was almost embarrassing to post SEVEN smallmouth over 18 inches myself, five in one day.
Our guides – Peterson and Juan – were excellent, as I told you. Peterson is young and eager and learning about fishing; his boat-handling skills are superb. Juan is a true expert smallmouth fisherman, showing an old dog (me!) some new tricks. We “pioneered” Crow Duck Creek and Falls again this year, with the help of rising water that enabled us to get over the beaver dams and reach the hotspot. What an area!
We should have some good photos and I’ll send them slong soon. Thanks for your good hospitality and excellent food. My only suggested improvement would be in the mattress area. A couple of the ones we had deserve cremation and a proper scattering of the ashes in some sacred place deserving of being the repository of thousands of hours of dreams about lunker smallmouth! Have a good summer and we’ll see you on June 6, 2008
Sincerely,
John Stanard
Hi Fred
Please find the enclosed pictures from our recent trip to Eagle Nest. Our group had a great time, despite leaving early to outrun the storm. Thank you for your hospitality and make sure the staff receives a note of thanks from us as well. You can tell John and James that they are not only great guides, but a lot of fun to have in the boat as well. The two smallies, a 19″ and an 18″ were my first two Master Angler awards. The Northern’s are 37 and 34 inchers. Please feel free to use them as you need. Again, thanks for your efforts.
Kind Regards,

Hey Fred,
Thought I’d send you a couple of pictures from our trip. It was an awesome trip. Three generations spending quality time together, although quick, was a memorable time. I only hope that we will be able to afford the opportunity to duplicate the experience. You run a very nice operation, Fred, and your guide staff is great. Juan and Mark really made our trip as good as it could be. Always cheerful, optimistic, humorous, and able to adapt to all of our personalities your choice staff, including housekeeping and dining is top notch.
The fishing was great. Mark and Juan were able to put us on anything we wanted to fish, couldn’t ask for any more. I won’t hesitate to let people know about Eagles Nest and have many pictures to prove the beauty and success.
Thanks Fred, Hope to see you again.

Fred & Jo-Anne,
I would like to thank you and all of your staff for such a wonderful fishing experience. We have never stayed at a lodge that had the high level of accommodations and yet still provided wonderful fishing.
I have been speaking to our district managers and will be communicating with you in the next few months about what dates would be best to send clients.
Regards,

Dear Eagle Nest Crew,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your kindnesses while we were with you this year. I really appreciate the extra efforts made by the cook, the girls, and Thomas and Peterson. Both of my sons went home so very happy with their new experience. I’ll assure you they will make the effort to come again. Of course Bob really became revived. He will always love to share his experience with others. When we got home he said, “I think I feel more energetic than I did when I left home.”
Give our love and appreciation to all your crew. We will always remember your kindness.
Sincerely,
Sylvia T. Wood Cunningham
Good morning Jessica , Fred, Joanne, and team.
I had another wonderful trip up to Eagles Nest again this year. To think, I was just going to go up there but one time (2004), and this year was my 7th visit. I just can’t imagine September without a visit to Canada now. I am still working on a couple of my friends down here in Australia to come with me next year, I am pretty sure they will pack the bags in the next couple of years. Already looking forward to next years visit, hope the little otter is still a resident, he is a real character.
Kind Regards, Daryl.
I was part of the group from Twin Valley Co-op/Dow Chemicals that was at your lodge earlier this week
Wanted to let you know that it was a fantastic time.
The lodging was great and was kept very clean..the food was fantastic..the service was fast and friendly
I was fortunate to have had two great guides ( Zack and Kevin ) and caught an impressive amount of fish.
You really provided a top notch experience..hopefully I will be able to return next year. I would recommend your lodge to anyone.
Once again…Thank you
